Newport Chamber Director Patti Ferry announced her formal letter of resignation as the Executive Director of the Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce. She said she has accepted another position in a different community and her last day of work will be Friday, September 6, 2019. Ferry added she would continue to give the Chamber her full support in the coming days. She has been the Executive Director of the Chamber since November 2018.
She said she will work with the Chamber staff to be sure they have the tools they need to carry forward with the work of the Chamber and has full confidence in their talents and abilities to move the Chamber into the future. The goal planning sessions by the staff and the board will continue to move the Chamber in a positive direction. Ferry told the board in her letter that she will complete a Business Plan draft for the Board before her last day.
