OSP Responds To Crashes

On 11/16/22 Oregon State Police trooper Vera responded to a two vehicle crash involving a gold Buick sedan and a black Subaru SUV on Highway 101 north of Newport near Moolock Beach. The Subaru was stopped in traffic and the Buick collided with the back of the Subaru. The driver of the Subaru sustained no injuries. The driver of the Buick, identified as 95-year old Gloria V. Anderson of Newport was transported to Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital in Newport with suspected minor injuries.

On 11/17/22 at approximately 1:30PM a westbound blue Chevy Cruze drove into the eastbound lane of Highway 34, milepost 26 and collided with an eastbound ODOT de-icing truck. No injuries were reported. Driver of the Chevy Cruze 71-year old Larry A. Peters of Alsea was issued a citation for failure to drive within lane.
