Police Respond To Shots Fired At Shell Gas Station


On 4/24/2021 at approximately 4:30AM, Lincoln City Police Officers responded to the report of shots fired at the North Shell Gas Station. An unknown male had entered the store and attempted to purchase alcohol. After being denied the alcohol due to OLCC rules the male became angry and left the store. In the parking lot of the store the male pulled a handgun out of his pocket and fired two rounds toward NW 39th Street. He put the handgun back into his pocket and left going southbound on Highway 101. The male is described as a white male adult wearing a tan “Carhartt” style jacket, a black baseball cap, a black face mask, blue jeans, and dark shoes.


He was carrying a orange backpack. He was appeared to be in his mid-20’s, approximately five feet six inches to five feet ten inches tall and had blue eyes. No one was injured in this incident, but the Lincoln City Police Department asks that if anyone recognizes this male they contact Officer Liden at the non-emergency dispatch number at 541-994-3636. If anyone sees this male on the street, please call the 911 and reference this incident. This male should be considered armed and should not be approached or contacted.
