Newport Public Works have started the project to construct improvements on NW 6th St., between NW Nye St. and NW Coast St. The improvements include storm drain replacement, sidewalk installation on the south side, limited water and sewer line replacements, and a pavement overlay. Devils Lake Rock Company is the contractor, and the project is scheduled to be substantially complete by January 22, 2020. Due to the construction activities, traffic will be restricted to local traffic only. For continued safety, we encourage all other residents to find alternative routes to using this segment of NW 6th Street.
