Teen Arrested In Shooting Threat At Cultural Center

On September 13 the Lincoln City Police Department received a threat of a mass shooting at a concert that was being held at the Lincoln City Cultural Center. At the time of the call LCP Officers responded to the Cultural Center, secured the area, and evacuated the building for the safety of the participants. On further investigation, it was determined there was no current danger to the public.
Lincoln City Police began an investigation into who made the threat. On October 27 LCP detectives, in collaboration with the Keizer Police Department, arrested a 15-year-old juvenile from Keizer in connection with the mass shooting threat at the cultural center. The boy has been charged with Disorderly Conduct in the First Degree and lodged at the Marion County Juvenile Department. Lincoln City police are continuing with the investigation.
