The Newport Public Library will host a ribbon cutting celebration to reopen our Children’s Department on Wednesday, June 1st at 12:00 p.m., at the Newport Library on NW Nye Street.
The Yachats Big Band will be hosting its First Thursday dance at the Yachats Commons on June 2, beginning at 7 PM. Doors will open at 6:30 PM. Coffee and light refreshments will be available. A donation of $5.00 per person is requested.
Seal Rock Garden Club’s annual plant sale and flower show will take place Saturday, June 4th, from 10am-2pm at the clubhouse located on NW Rand St. in Seal Rock. There will be a of variety of garden plants suited to our coastal conditions, as well as outdoor garden art for sale and a handmade garden bench raffle. Cash, checks, credit and debit cards accepted.
Sunday, June 5 Breakfast is served at the Gleneden Beach Community Club, 110 Azalea St., from 8-11am. After a hearty breakfast, shop the book and puzzle sale for some great offerings and explore the emergency preparedness displays. Cost: Adults, $7; children age 4-10, $4, kids under 4 eat free. Cash only.
