Saturday Lincoln City police received a report from security at Chinook Winds Casino that a Penske moving truck had been parked in their lot for some time. Security at the Casino asked police officers to have driver of the truck move along.

Officers attempted to make contact with the married couple that had rented the truck and discovered the driver, identified as 49-year old George Parson had multiple out of state non-extradition warrants and had a no-contact order in place for his wife who was also in the truck from an earlier domestic altercation.

Parson fled the scene when officers attempted to stop the truck at NW 39th and Jetty. Parson led Lincoln City police officers on a 30-mile chase on Hwy 18 into Grand Ronde. The pursuit ended when officers successfully deployed spike strips at Fort Hill Road in Polk County.

Mr. Parsons was taken into custody and transported by Lincoln City Police to the Lincoln County jail on charges of felony elude, reckless driving, reckless endangering and violation of the restraining order. Mrs Parsons was released at the scene with the truck.
