An Oregon Department of Corrections adult in custody, 46-year old Mark Mryczko, died on the afternoon of Monday February 11. He was incarcerated at Oregon State Penitentiary and passed away in the infirmary while on Hospice. He entered Department of Corrections custody on November 13, 2014, from Lincoln County, with an earliest release date of December 2, 2021. He was a Newport resident who had been sent to prison for nine years in 2014 for his part in dealing with child pornography via his computer. He pled guilty to a number of charges after law enforcement raided his motor home parked at the Idaho Point Marina.
